Viagra & other ED drugs r classified as lifestyle medications by most insurers. Those drugs r not medically necessary - they r taken primarily for convenience, & coverage is subject to limitations like any other lifestyle/convenience medication.

(Had a policyholder get angry once & say that it was not fair that the insurance company only paid for 3 Viagra tablets per month. He quite crudely said it was a ''violation of his privacy'' for the insurer to tell him that he could ''only f*** 3 times a month.'' l politely pointed out that he could have relations as many times per month as he was willing to pay for out of pocket.)
