Hey, Does anyone know if Anchor Insurance offers a rental car to policy holders who have their car being repaired at a body shop??

l was in an accident Friday.. immediately reported it to my Insurance Agency and filed a report with P.D...

l went in to get an appraisal today and the lady at the body shop who has ''been doing business with Anchor General for over 10 years'' told me that they definitely do NOT give a rental car for the time being..

Does anyone know if this is true or not?

I'd call but their office is closed right now.

l do have full coverage with uninsured motorist and towing service.. But what about the car rental?!

No, they don't. That is because they do not sell their own insurance - they sell other company is policies.

Rental car coverage is an OPTION. If u pay for it, u select how much coverage u want, then u have it.

''Full coverage'' does NOT mean, u r fully covered. It does not even mean u have every coverage there is. All it means, is u have liability, at least minimum, & collision, & comprehensive - but u could have massive deductibles. Add in that uninsured motorist & towing, & it does not sound to ME, like u bought rental car coverage.

Take a look at ur policy. It would have a line, after collision & comp, that says ''rental reimbursement'' or ''substitute transportation'' or something like that. If there is no premium, u did not buy it.

Isabella is right. It rental car coverage is on your policy then you have it. Was the accident your fault? If it is the other party is fault, then they will pay for the rental car.
