If they made it mandatory evacuation do we get F.I.M.A Help ? ?

They made us ''mandatoraly'' evacuate.Cost me a bunch of money l did not have to pack us all up and drive 400 Miles North for four days.FEMA helped us out in Katrina, Local media has not even brought up the question so here l am.

Was it ''their'' fault a hurricane occurred? They told you to evacuate for your own safety and so you would not need rescuing, thus endangering others. Unless you suffer property damage, do not expect help from FEMA.

If your parish or area was declared a disaster area and you incurred costs or damages that are related to the disaster and not covered by any other coverage or insurance you may have, you might be eligible for assistance. However, what is claimable is restricted to certain expenses and damages. Here is a link that will help you:

Well, it is FEMA, not FIMA, and no you do not get help.

Me, personally, l think that maybe if we did not have mandatory evacuations, Darwin is Law would take care of a whole bunch of problems.
