why should we have to pay for insurance if our tax dollars are paying to keep the company in Business?

It is AIG insurance, & while l agree with u that we should not be bailing out companies with taxpayer money, the Federal Reserve is trying to stabilize the market with the bailout. They've already loaned money to Freddie Mac & Fannie Mae, what is next?
What happened is that AIG had made some bad investments with stockholder & client funds & lost it. However, they represent a significant part of the industry & to let them collapse would have allowed predatory investors to swoop in & artificially inflate the market which would have led to a greater stock market fall in the future.
