Could there be such a thing as 'beauty insurance'? Where younger people could pay a premium for beauty treatments whenever they start getting older or have an accident that disfigures their faces somehow.

That is the stupidest thing l ever heard of! As if the world does not have better things to worry about! Starving, wars, poverty, disasters and OMG J-LO GOT CELLULITE ON HER BUTT AND HAS TO INSURE IT! Ok..dumb!

yes, i'm sure you can get insurance for this: you just have to present it to an insurance company in businesslike terms.

There are many jobs that require looks, and i've heard of models insuring their assets accordingly.

No. People would wan to get every possible thing done like breast surgery, liposuction, botox, collagen. People do not know the term ageing gracefully anymore. No one looks their age anymore

LOL l am not a jealous girl, but l do believe in aging gracefully. For the record, l am in my mid 40's. **that means, l do not dye my hair, & wear minimal makeup**

The problem is, only the people who wanted to use the coverage, would ever buy the coverage. Think about it - people like me, who do not ever plan on having cosmetic (non-restorative) surgery, would never buy it - so the COST of the insurance would be, well, the cost of the surgery.

Accidental disfigurement, well, most health insurance policies will cover restorative surgeries.

Get what you want if you can afford a luxury. The issue is when someone can hardly pay their bills is trying to get something they can not afford.

And, no insurance company is going to pay for cosmetic surgery.
