l was born in the uk but at the age of 12 l moved to live in spain l am now back living in the uk and coming up to my 16th birthday and dont no how l go about getting my NIN number, if anyone has info on this please help me,thanks

Alphamee is correct except that Tax offices do not deal with National Insurance Numbers. Your local Jobcentreplus will tell you.
If someone is receiving Child Benefit for you your NINO should be sent to you automatically - now ! It should come just before your 16th birthday.
Contact Jobcentreplus to find out why if it does not arrive. There is a little info at the link below, not really adequate.

It will be sent automatically to your parents are claiming child benefit or child tax credits for you. If there not ring the jobcentreplus and they can send out the forms for you to fills in!
