A new company will take them over eventually. The government will step in first if they need help.

Do not worry. Everything will be fine. Nothing will change except the company.

There is a regulatory body that overseas and covers eventuality like this making sure that policyholders of up to a certain amount do not lose their money.

In case of bankruptcy this insurance will kick in and pay off certain holders. The government will also sell off the company is portfolio to another insurance company to allow continuity.

Who is AG?

Do you mean AIG - American International Insurance?

l do not expect AIG to fail, l expect a bail out if necessary. AIG is too big to fail.
