l mean, only insuring the contents like PC, PSP, TV, Video, some gold and etc.. and if yes which insurer would u recommend

l have often questioned this, but then continued insuring. Remember it covers all furnishings, carpets etc.

You need to go to a comparison website and find the best for you.

l use the one below. My annual premium is £37 for £50,000 of cover.

That all depends on how much your contents are worth. Think about a fire, or theft, How much would it take to replace the contents of you abode? Frankly, l would not bother insuring unless my contents were include.

if you work out how much you really have in your house you will be surprised at the total, just for the sake of a about £50 or £60 a year l think it`s worth it.

can you afford to replace EVERYTHING you own if you had a total loss from a fire or something? most people couldn't. its cheap and worth it

OK- stop & think of everything u have in ur house- every piece of silverware,dishes,pots pans, towels,bedding,home decor,furniture,tv,video games,books & so on.Start a list & see how many pages u end up with. If u had a fire & everything was destroyed -with out insurance could u afford to buy everything ASAP to be able to live like u did before the fire? You are referring to renter is insurance? It is your contents, only you can say.

l have read the previous . l am so surprised that ABSOLUTELY no one has a clue about this subject.
l have worked in the insurance industry for twenty years & here r the facts.
if u attempt insure just those items, u will run in to the minimum sum insured. Usually 15 to 20 thousand. You should ALWAYS insure ur TOTAL contents. In fact, it is a condition of EVERY UK policy unless one goes to a specialist.
In the event of a claim the adjuster will come & look at ur home. If u (say) have claimed for a £1000 television, he will look at ur contents & ur contents sum insured. If he reckons ur contents should be 30 grand & u have covered for the minimum 15 then he will invoke the under-insurance clause. You have paid for 15 when it should have been thirty so u have paid for only half of ur contents cover & u will receive only half ur claim . minus the policy excess of course. They will get u EVERY time.
