Generic nerve pills, and generic non narcodic ultram are cheap.

Well, you don't, if you can afford it.

The problem is that no one knows when a serious illness will develop or a serious injury will occur. After all, everyone is healthy until they aren't. And unless you're psychic you wo not know when a serious illness or injury is just around the corner.

And are there really any inexpensive MD or cheap medications anymore? Not here.

Medicaid is for low income folks - either you qualify for it or you don't.

if you can afford it fine, but even routine dr visits are very expensive,
and not all medicine is inexpensive. should you ever need to
enter a hospital you will discover that while they do not charge
self payers extra, they do give insurance companies deep
discounts. if you are able to stay well and safe, you will be all
right, but should you fall ill or be injured it will be to late to get
coverage.

here is the big question: what if u go & they say u have cancer or something? If u find out u have a major illness u must disclose to insurance companies when things get serious, if u r already diagnosed, they probably wo not take you.
l am very patriotic but our country has the worst health care of any of the great countries. There is no reason for us not to have universal health care. 73% of money spent on health care is sent to insurance & hospital CEOs. Thats a lot of money for no help.
l feel for you.

As others have said, if you can afford medical treatment without insurance, go for it!

You wont ever be denied emergency services without insurance, but if you are planning on never paying the bills, other services can be refused to you when you need them unless they are paid up front.

l hope you do not plan on getting any health problems that are big, complicated, chronic, life-threatening, or anything unexpected either. With that frame of mind and that lifeplan you wo not be ABLE to plan on buying anything of value and will have no need for material things, because sooner or later, this will all catch up with you and you will possess neither the money, credit, or health to have anything-even if you DID want it.

l do understand a bit about where u r coming from in regards to why anyone would have to pay high monthly costs towards health insurance, something of which most can not afford or would rather not have to shell out each month, when in fact it could be more beneficial financially for them (at that very moment) to simply pay for those doc visits & meds out of pocket rather than using traditional insurance.

Is this a little bit about where u were coming from initially?

l know that for me personally, beings that l am self employed & have to insure myself & my kids solely, when l was initially quoted $750 a month there was no way l could afford it at the time, nor would l choose to pay that much every single month especially when we r all rather healthy & rarely have to go to the doctor for anything except routine yearly check ups.

In this case, l am better off not paying $9000 a year for health insurance, money of which once it is paid l would have nothing else to show for it other than that months premium paid. But rather pay for the doc visits, lets say $200 each times 4, $800. Compare that & it is quite a huge difference.

Granted if something were to happen, & accidents do happen, then things would be a bit different. But even if l could afford the extra $750 a month, l would rather put that money into any type of savings account, even at the smallest percentage of interest earned, & at least once l paid it out, or in this case deposited it into my account, l would at least have it there for a rainy day if needed, & it would be growing & adding up rather than not.

l was faced with this very issue like l mentioned over 2 years ago. l did my research & also found another resource that l find extremely useful & helps me save money as well, something that helps when insurance may not. It is a discount health plan organization. You can take a look if u think it may fit with ur situation as well. http://mybenefitsplus.com/cberney

l wo not go into all the details as u can find them on the site, but if u happen to have any questions, feel free to ask.

Not sure if this helps to answer ur question or not, but hopefully it does a bit.

All my best to you!
