l got hurt at work and l could not work so l was laid off and l had medical insurance and had food stamps now the government is asking back for it because l started working again how do l pay it back because l do not have that type of money or does anyone know anyone that can help with this

Ok look, get a job that you took college in or if you did not take college, take a job that you know you will succeed in. OR have a garage sale or something~

l am not sure what u have to pay back here, Is it food stamps? Or medical expenses that they covered, If u were hurt at work that schould have been covered by ur work, If u own money to the welfare department call & talk to ur case worker,or some one in charge. they will usually set up a payment plan with u that is less than u owe, The only thing they can do to u if u do not pay is deny u any help if u would need it in the future.

How did you have $40,000 in medical bills? The government does not ask to pay back if you were covered by them in the month that you used the medi-cal insurance. l think you need to post more details.

Call your case worker or whoever sent you a letter and ask for a payment plan.
